The GIIGNL Executive Committee, in which DEPA entered in October 2014, convened in Athens on 7th March. The Committee is composed of high-ranking executives from fifteen member-companies the world over. Members of GIIGNL deal in production, export, trading, transportation, import and regasification of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).
DEPA was represented by CEO, Mr. Theodoros Kitsakos, who spoke to the Committee about the fundamentals and evolution of the Greek gas market and planned activity inside and around Greece, focusing on LNG.
GIIGNL is a non-profit organization whose objective is to promote the development of activities related to LNG: purchasing, importing, processing, transportation, handling, re-gasification and its various uses. The Group constitutes a forum for exchange of information and experience among its 76 members to enhance safety, reliability and efficiency of LNG imports activities and the operation of LNG imports terminals in particular. In line with the development of the LNG industry, the GIIGNL membership is now composed of gas and power companies, infrastructure companies and most of the major oil companies active in the LNG business.
