A Christmas bazaar was hosted at DEPA’s headquarters on Wednesday, December 16th, in cooperation with PEK/AmeA (Association of Parents, Guardians and Friends of People with Disabilities of Piraeus). Christmas crafts, such as decorations, lucky charms, candles, soaps, and other decor items manufactured at the educational workshops by the youngsters under care were available for sale at the bazaar.
The funds collected will be used for the purposes of PEK/AmeA where youngsters of 15 years of age and above with an intellectual disability are cared for. PEK/AmeA’s objectives are to help with the smooth integration of adults with a disability in the local and wider society; youngsters’ entertainment; autonomy and self-care; companionship; self-esteem; parity.
