DEPA SA has supported for years the work of the Doctors without Borders either with financial donations for the support of their programmes or with sponsorships for specific events. In this context, it is once again standing by their work, supporting their effort to implement a medical care programme for the vulnerable populations in the center of Athens. It is estimated that 25-30% of the population does not have access to the health system. The biggest problem is faced by the homeless, unemployed, pensioners, patients with chronic diseases, unsecured citizens, undocumented immigrants and drug users. The aim of the programme of the Doctors without Borders is to meet the needs that are not covered by the existing services and offer free qualitative health services contributing, thus, to prevention and treatment.
