The gas facilities in Athens, the area where the “Technopolis” of the Municipality of Athens is housed, opened its doors on 27 January 2013 as the first industrial museum in Athens. DEPA, as the main sponsor, actively contributed to the establishment of the Museum. The visitor will be given the opportunity to tour the history of Athens and its industrial heritage but also to experience the technological miracle of another era and associate the old and new forms of energy by visiting the original machinery and the rich photographic material. The links of DEPA with the field are not new as in 1997 the company took over DEFA, whose network was the basis for the further dynamic development of the natural gas network. By contributing in the foundation and operation of the Museum, DEPA implements with consistency the policy drawn in the Corporate Social Responsibility field and the promotion actions of the modern history of our country.
