DEPA was awarded one of the most important distinctions, which is also a guarantee for the company’s commitment to implement a long-term social responsibility strategy.
On 3 April, in the official event for the award of the CRIndex 2011 prizes, the Company was rewarded for its performance in the previous year in the application of responsible corporate practices. The celebration was attended by a number of representatives of the financial, business and cultural world of Greece.
The distinguished companies were assessed by a group of independent experts of the Corporate Responsibility Institute, based on the National Corporate Responsibility Index – CRIndex – and according to international standards. The basic criteria of the award were the performances and contribution of the businesses in the globally established four basic pillars of the Corporate Social Responsibility: society, environment, employees and market.
It is worth mentioning that DEPA was awarded in the BRONZE category for actions and social responsibility programmes, although it was the first year it had participated in this prestigious assessment system. It managed, therefore, by getting a significant distinction to be included among companies and organisations with a long history and proven dedication to Corporate Social Practices.
